The representative of the Islah bloc, Adnan Mashuqa, adopted a parliamentary memorandum signed by 64 deputies supporting the Holy Qur’an.

The memorandum called on the Jordanian government to file a case with the International Criminal Court and submit a complaint to the Security Council, indicating that allowing the burning of the Holy Qur’an in Sweden violates international peace and security in accordance with the Charter of the United Nations.

The memorandum called on the government to freeze all treaties between Jordan and the State of Sweden until its official apology and announcing the cessation of any insult to the Islamic religion and divine laws, and work to boycott Swedish products.

The memorandum called on the government to increase the quotas allocated for teaching the Holy Quran and its sciences in schools and to increase support for official and private Quran memorization centers.
