1444 years ago, this Tuesday was completed, and tomorrow a new year begins. History recorded an important pivotal event that marks the end of ignorance, the chaos of values, and the beginning of civilization, as desired by the last heavenly messages to achieve justice and equality between those who were masters and those who were slaves.
In the east and west of the earth, Muslims will recall tomorrow, Wednesday, the memory of the defining migration, the day the Prophet Muhammad bin Abdullah, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, immigrated from Makkah Al-Mukarramah to Al-Madinah Al-Munawwarah after enduring the harm he endured to convey the message, the message of heaven to all the people of the earth, so he conveyed the message and fulfilled the trust and left the nation on The white argument does not deviate from it except for a stray hulk.
And there, on that day and from that city, the last prophets established the civilization of a nation and set the foundations of a state that lit up and still lights up all parts of the globe because of the sophistication of its principles and lofty goals, as it balanced between religion and the world.
The memory of the Prophet’s migration constitutes a spring overflowing with the meanings of sacrifice and imitation, with which we recall the requirements for progress and uplifting the building at the level of the homeland and the nation and following the foundations on which the first Islamic community was built, says the Assistant Secretary-General for Da’wah Affairs and Director of Preaching and Guidance at the Ministry of Endowments, Islamic Affairs and Holy Sites, Ismail Al-Khataba, in an interview with the agency. Jordan News (Petra).
The speeches said that the Prophet’s migration teaches us that building the homeland needs believing hearts and men who support and defend it, and sincerity in effort and work to build its foundations, pointing out that the companions of the Messenger among the immigrants and supporters set the most wonderful examples of standing together as one brotherhood, loving one another, led by the Prophet of the nation, starting with building the institution of the first state (The mosque) from which they spoke to preach the call and defend the religion, whether by invasions or battles of glory.
He pointed out that Al-Madinah Al-Munawwarah was the fertile land prepared by the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, to build faith and man. Migration to it was the beginning of a glorious and bright history, and it was a good omen for all humanity, as Islam filled the horizons and illuminated the world, and people emerged from the darkness of ignorance to the light of divine guidance. Knowledge prevailed, and souls were liberated from the humiliation of slavery to the worship of the One and Only God in a state founded on a heavenly constitution that brings together people of different colors and tongues on intimacy and love, not on conflict, hatred and hatred.
The sermon stressed the importance of establishing our understanding of the memory of the Prophet’s migration and the meanings of its lessons and applying them to the reality of our lives and behaviors, following the guidance of the Messenger and walking on his path, defending his Sunnah, strengthening the bonds of brotherhood, love and compassion, taking the reasons upon which the great Islamic civilization was based, linking children to the values and morals of religion, and cultivating Hope is in the souls, and trust in God’s victory.
Prior planning and preparation was present when the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, wanted to migrate from Mecca to Medina, and in this is a lesson that successful work is not based on random work, but is the result of planning and sound thinking after thinking well of God and relying on Him, says the sermon.
From the source of this great memory whose sublime meanings are uninterrupted, the sermon refers to the great patience of the ancestors among the Companions, may God be pleased with them, and their devotion to the supreme principle, thus achieving a clear victory for them, explaining that the migration was “the abandonment of ignorance and the ignorant, and a noble proclamation of the manifest truth, during which the name of the Ansar shone in association with the Muhajireen.” In the Holy Qur’an, and for this reason, the Companions agreed on “migration” as the beginning of a new historical calendar as it “distinguished between truth and falsehood,” as Al-Farouq Omar Ibn Al-Khattab, may God be pleased with him, said.
The sermon said that the Hijri date derives its importance from its relationship to worship, the pillars of religion, and legal rulings such as zakat, fasting Ramadan, Hajj, the waiting period for divorce, death, breastfeeding, Eid al-Fitr, Eid al-Adha, fasting six days of Shawwal, the white days, fasting Ashura, and other acts of worship and transactions that are related to the Hijri calendar.
Dr. Raed Abu Moanis, Professor of Jurisprudence and Islamic Banking at the University of Jordan, went to that, who emphasized the importance of the Hijri calendar in calculating deeds and years, and it is a reminder to a person to invest the years of his life as if it were a profit or loss in a person’s relationship with his Lord.
Abu Mu’nis pointed out that worldly life is a life that leads to eternal life. It is the result of man’s work and his preparations in his first life. If he succeeds, he will meet bliss, and if he does wrong and gives permission, he will receive the result of his work. That is what the Holy Qur’an means by trading with God, for God Almighty says: {O you who believe Shall I direct you to a trade that will save you from a painful chastisement * You believe in God and His Messenger, and you strive in the way of God with your wealth and your lives, that is better for you if you you know.”
Professor of History at the Faculty of Arts at Yarmouk University, Dr. Muhannad Nayef Al-Dajah, pointed out that the Hijri calendar is not just numbers that parallel the Gregorian calendar with the number of days, months and years, but rather carries an important symbol for every historical incident to remain an incentive for the people of the nation to remember their history and their glorious championships.
He said, we explore this in major international museums that contain written and dated inscriptions of its events, such as the Pharaonic, Greek, Assyrian, Babylonian, Persian and Chinese, but the Hijri calendar surpasses all these calendars as it is a symbol of glory and loftiness, indicating the advent of civilizations that used to sing of their strength, sophistication and culture under the Muhammadan banner of the supremacy of its principles.
However, the lesson of immigration lies in the fact that it carries a higher and greater dimension, represented by the divine miracle in the Prophet’s survival from the hands of the tyrannical Quraysh when he left Mecca on a thorny desert road pursued by knights greedy for booty, so that this glorious historical journey ends with the arrival of the great city-state in Kind.
Therefore, al-Da`jah says, the Muslim sages unanimously agreed that this incident is a symbol of the history of the birth of a great nation, pointing out that the second Rashidun caliph Umar ibn al-Khattab and his companions determined a calendar for the new state, so opinions differed between the birth of the Prophet (not fixed), his mission, the journey of Isra and Mi`raj, his death, or One of the invasions or immigration to the city, so it was agreed to adopt immigration.
He explained that the migration of the Prophet – may God bless him and grant him peace – to Medina was not at the beginning of the month of Muharram, but rather it was after two months, that is, at the beginning of the month of Rabi` al-Awwal, specifically on the 22nd of Rabi` al-Awwal, (September 24 in the year 622 AD).
He said that the Hijri months carry connotations and meanings, including: the month of Muharram, in which the Arabs prohibited fighting, and it is the first month of the Hijri year, then Safar, which is the month in which the Arabs are accustomed to leaving their homes to fight (whistles, i.e. abandonment), and then Rabi` al-Awwal because it coincides with the start of the spring season that follows it. Rabi` al-Thani, and Jumada al-Awwal (because it falls in the winter season and the water freezes), then Jumada al-Akhira, then the month of Rajab to stop the war or conflict, then Sha`ban; As for the Arabs branching out in it to seek water) and Ramadan due to the high temperature in it, as for Shawwal, it was also called to denote the decline in camel production and the lack of their milk, then Dhul-Qa’dah meaning to stop fighting, and finally the month of Dhul-Hijjah as it is a month to perform the Hajj since before Islam.
