Parliament Speaker Ahmed Al-Safadi received in his office in the House of Representatives, today, Monday, the Deputy Speaker of the Qatari Shura Council, Dr. Hamda bint Hassan Al-Sulaiti, and the accompanying parliamentary delegation.

Al-Safadi affirmed the depth of the brotherly relations between the two countries and the two brotherly peoples and the advanced level they have reached, under the directives of King Abdullah II and his brother Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of the sisterly State of Qatar.

Al-Safadi and Al-Sulaiti discussed joint parliamentary relations and ways to enhance them, and the importance of consultation and coordination of parliamentary positions in service of the nation’s central issues, foremost of which is the Palestinian issue.

In turn, Al-Sulaiti said that Qatar supports all sincere efforts to support the Palestinian cause, praising the Jordanian role in this context.

She stressed that the positions of the two countries, leadership and people, remained in the trench of defending the nation’s issues, foremost of which is the Palestinian cause and the right of the brothers to obtain their legitimate rights on their national soil.

The meeting was attended by the First Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Dr. Ahmed Al-Khalayleh, Assistant Speaker of Parliament Dhiab Al-Masaeed, and Representative Ali Al-Khalayleh, and from the Qatari side, members of the Shura Council, Yusuf bin Ahmed Al-Kuwari, Issa bin Arar Al-Rumaihi, Youssef bin Ahmed Al-Sada, and Abdullah bin Nasser Al-Subaie.
