Today, Saturday, the price of selling a gram of 21 carat gold, the most desired by citizens in the local market, reached 40 dinars for the purpose of buying from Al-Sagha stores, compared to 38.30 dinars for selling.
The selling price of one gram of 24 and 18 karat gold, for the purpose of purchasing from Al Sagha shops, was 47 dinars and 35.60 dinars, respectively.
Rebhi Allan, head of the General Syndicate for the Owners of Trade and Jewelery Shops, said in a statement to the Jordan News Agency (Petra) that the price of the Rashadi pound weighing 7 grams amounted to 276 dinars, and the English pound weighing 8 grams amounted to 315 dinars.
He described the demand for gold in the local market as “average”, but it is more improved than the period preceding Eid Al-Adha.
Allan indicated that the yellow metal closed its trading in the global market yesterday, Friday, at $1926 per ounce.
