Activities and campaigns promoting through social media platforms, calling for homosexuality and its legalization in laws, have opened the door to questions about these mysterious and suspicious campaigns, which target the value and moral system in conservative societies.

The various social media platforms are witnessing campaigns calling for homosexuality openly and clearly, and this has gone beyond attacking opinion leaders who reject these practices that are contrary to human nature and contrary to the teachings of Islamic law.

At a time when questions are raised about the supporters of these suspicious campaigns, accusations are leveled against international organizations and external parties seeking to target the value system in conservative Arab and Islamic societies.

These accusations were explicitly disclosed by parliamentarians during their discussion last summer of the draft law on children’s rights, which sparked widespread controversy in the Jordanian street, considering that it entails very great risks that are not commensurate with the values ​​of Jordanians.

These external organizations caused a great controversy within the Jordanian parliament, where deputies warned of the danger of suspicious plans, due to their very serious repercussions, amid calls for official authorities to monitor and restrict the activities of such organizations.

Representatives affirmed that these organizations, through a wide network of relations, promote practices that are out of common sense, under the pretext of freedom of choice.

However, several claims have recently emerged calling on the official authorities to expose these parties, their supporters and those behind them, and hold them accountable, within the framework of Jordanian laws and legislations that prohibit illegal relationships.

Ifta: forbidden relationships

And the General Ifta Department said, in a fatwa issued by it at the end of 2021, that it is forbidden to promote or advocate everything that contradicts what is established in the Islamic faith and Islamic jurisprudence, which is unanimously agreed upon and known by religion necessarily, and contrary to the moral values ​​​​on which Muslim societies are based, and contrary to international laws and treaties. Which provides for respect for the religious and cultural privacy of societies.

According to the Fatwa Department, “Contemporary public international law requires respect for the cultural and religious specificities of societies and peoples; Because it is an inherent right of collective human rights, and the (Vienna) Convention of 1969 gave the right to states to reserve treaties, and this is an indication that cultural and religious specificities must be taken into account in human rights treaties and other treaties; Because it may conflict with the national legislation of countries, especially those legislations that were built on authentic religious or cultural rulings.

The Fatwa Department expressed its “refusal to legitimize homosexuality (homosexuality), codify it, defend it, and encourage it among the segments of society,” while refusing to legalize adultery under any name (such as sexual activity outside marriage).

The department also expressed its categorical rejection of the expansion of abortion and making it available without acceptable medical reasons. We call on families to pay attention to such suspicious calls and protect their children from being drawn behind them under glamorous names such as freedom and others. We also call on governments to stand as a bulwark against anyone who tries to tamper with the values ​​of morals of Muslim societies.

Suspicious campaigns must be stopped

Following the campaigns of these suspicious parties against opinion leaders in Jordanian society, and their direct incitement against them, national forces called on the Jordanian government to take immediate action to monitor the activities of the suspicious parties.

These forces affirmed their categorical rejection of what is happening in cyberspace, and it is now moving to the ground in a dangerous way that clearly targets the family, as it is the first building block of society, and its strength represents the strength of society and thus the strength of the state.
