The General Syndicate of Jewelery and Trade Shop Owners confirmed that it is the only authority authorized to issue and announce the official price of gold in the Kingdom, according to the instructions of the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Supply.

The head of the syndicate, Rebhi Allan, told the Jordan News Agency (Petra) that the price of gold in the local market is the global price, in addition to import duties, stamps and cracking differences at fixed rates known to the specialists.

He added, “Any pricing issued by a website or any store claiming to be the global pricing is “false talk” and a disgrace to the truth, and it contradicts what is stipulated in the official instructions that authorized the syndicate to issue the daily pricing of gold as the sole authority in the Kingdom.

Allan stressed that the global pricing is only reached through international stock exchanges and international importers, in addition to the prescribed fees.

It is noteworthy that the number of jewelry and jewelry shops throughout the Kingdom is 900.
