Prime Minister Bishr Al-Khasawneh issued the initial circular to prepare the draft general budget law, including the budgets of government units for the year 2024 and setting initial ceilings for each ministry, department and government unit, and final ceilings for the governorates.

This came in conjunction with the preparation of a draft system for formations of ministries, government departments and units for the fiscal year 2024.

According to this circular, all ministries, departments and government units must prepare their budgets for the years 2024-2026 in detail and provide them to the General Budget Department no later than the beginning of next August, with their budget projects including capital projects for the governorates that have been approved by the provincial councils.
