The Ministry of Investment offered, through its electronic platform, an investment opportunity to establish a 4-star Ajloun spa resort with an expected investment size of $27 million, and an expected internal return of 15-17%.

According to the platform data, which was reviewed by the Kingdom, the Ajloun treatment resort will specialize in providing care and attention to individuals who want to follow a healthy lifestyle, as well as programs designed for people who need to lose weight.

The demand for resorts and medical destinations is increasing with its growing spread around the world, and this reflects positively on the Ajloun medical resort and on Jordan in general as a prominent destination for medical and hospital tourism.

One of the most prominent features of the project is its presence in a forested area and farms rich in trees. This makes this area an important attraction for local and regional tourists. The resort will also attract visitors from various regions, especially the Arabian Gulf region, due to the cultural features that characterize the region compared to other resorts. Which will enhance its competitiveness and achieve success.

The resort is located on the western summit opposite Ajloun Castle, and is an important center for the long and famous hiking trails in Ajloun, in addition to the recently developed cable car project.

The resort will attract visitors from inside and outside Jordan, as it will be equipped to care for people with special physical and psychological needs within a facility characterized by hospitality. The resort will also offer a variety of treatment solutions supported by best healthcare practices and modern technology in order to reach a comprehensive and integrated treatment experience.

The project will provide medical examinations, public health examinations, physical fitness assessments, treatments, and rehabilitation services. The most important of these services are: interferometric current therapy/diagnostic ultrasound/hydrotherapy/spa services including massage, laser therapy, and many more. Other services include / physical therapy / shock wave energy therapy / physiotherapy exercises.

Ajloun is famous for its picturesque nature and wonderful mountainous terrain covered with green forests rich in linden, oak, and pine trees. Some of its mountains rise to more than 1,150 meters above sea level.

The month of August is one of the warmest months of the year. The average temperature during this month is 24.5 degrees Celsius, while January is one of the coldest months, with an average temperature of 7.8 degrees Celsius. As for the rainfall, it usually occurs during the winter so that the rainfall is high, and it is relatively little in the summer. The average annual precipitation is 467 mm.

Ajloun governorate is rich in natural springs and waterfalls spread throughout the governorate. In addition to the diversity of its plants and forests, orchards planted with various municipal fruits and vegetables are distributed in its various parts.

The platform indicated that the investor is required to design, finance, build, operate and manage the resort.
