Speaker of Parliament arrives in Saudi Arabia on an official visit

Parliament Speaker Ahmed Al-Safadi and his accompanying parliamentary delegation arrived in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, today, Sunday.
The delegation was received at King Khalid bin Abdulaziz Airport, Chairman of the Saudi Shura Council, Dr. Abdullah Al-Sheikh.
According to a statement issued by the House of Representatives, Al-Safadi affirmed the depth of the relations of the two brotherly countries under the leadership of King Abdullah II and his brother, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz, expressing his and the parliamentary delegation’s aspiration to enhance joint parliamentary cooperation in service of the two brotherly peoples and the central issues of our nation.
During the reception, the Speaker of the Saudi Shura Council welcomed Safadi and the accompanying delegation, hoping that this visit would contribute to strengthening relations between the two countries, especially the parliamentary relations between the Jordanian Parliament and the Saudi Shura Council, in a way that achieves the aspirations of the leaderships of the two countries.
The reception was attended by a member of the Shura Council and a member of the Saudi-Jordanian Parliamentary Friendship Committee, Abdul Mohsen bin Muhammad Al-Munif, the Jordanian ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Ali Al-Kayed, the ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to Jordan, Nayef bin Bandar Al-Sudairi, and a number of officials in the Saudi Shura Council.
Al-Safadi met with officials of the Riyadh Chamber of Commerce, which is one of the largest Arab chambers of commerce and includes 35 chambers of commerce, where the importance of joint cooperation between the Jordanian and Saudi chambers of commerce and benefiting from experiences in both countries was emphasized. During the meeting, Al-Safadi invited the brothers in the chambers of commerce in Riyadh to Visiting Jordan in order to enhance trade exchange between the two brotherly countries.
For their part, officials in the Riyadh Chambers of Commerce affirmed their keenness on joint cooperation and benefiting from the Jordanian experience in the health, tourism and infrastructure sectors.
It is expected that Al-Safadi and Al-Sheikh will hold official talks tomorrow, Monday, at the headquarters of the Saudi Shura Council, in order to enhance joint parliamentary cooperation.
The parliamentary delegation includes: Assistant Speaker of the House of Representatives, Chairman of the Jordanian-Saudi Parliamentary Fraternity Committee, Dhiab Al-Masaeed, Saleh Abu Tayeh, Muhammad Bani Yassin, Muhammad Ababneh and Salama Al-Balawi.
