“Invest in Jordan”… a platform for investment opportunities that reach one billion dinars

The Ministry of Investment launched the first promotional platform for investment in Jordan, entitled “Invest in Jordan”, and it contains 21 investment opportunities with an investment volume of about one billion Jordanian dinars, in addition to 8 priority investment sectors.

The ministry said in a statement today, Sunday, that other sectoral studies and investment opportunities will be included periodically, starting next month, stressing that the platform was launched in cooperation with the Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship, as the first interactive promotional electronic platform in the Kingdom for investors in both Arabic and English, with the aim of facilitating communication with investors. locally and globally, and enabling them to learn about the business environment in the Kingdom.
And the Minister of Investment, Kholoud Al-Saqqaf, confirmed that the launch of the platform came to keep pace with the investment policy and promotion strategy for the years 2023-2026, which was recently approved by the Investment Council, as part of the ministry’s work plans that are in line with the vision of economic modernization 2033, with the aim of attracting, encouraging and promoting investment, ensuring the sustainability of the attractive investment climate and enhancing Confidence in, development and regulation of the investment environment.
She added that the platform will enable the investor to get acquainted with many information he needs during his investment journey in the Kingdom, such as learning about the legislative framework for investment, the basic steps for registering and licensing projects electronically, and the package of exemptions and privileges granted to economic activity, whether inside or outside the development and free zones. In addition to learning about the most important advantages and investment opportunities in the Aqaba Special Economic Zone, and many success stories for investments in various economic sectors.
Al-Saqqaf indicated that, through the platform, it is possible to identify 21 investment opportunities with an expected investment size of about one billion Jordanian dinars, which vary sectorally and geographically within economic sectors with high added value and are compatible with the vision of economic modernization. It is also possible to identify the advantages of investing in priority economic sectors. In the investment promotion strategy 2023-2026, which includes sectors: communications and information technology, life sciences, health care, tourism, mining, food industries, knitting and clothing, film industry, in addition to partnership projects between the public and private sectors.
And she indicated that work will be done to update these opportunities continuously and in partnership with the public and private sectors, in addition to the inclusion of sectoral studies and new investment opportunities periodically, starting from next month.
Al-Saqqaf explained that the electronic platform “Invest in Jordan”, which can be accessed via the website (invest.jo), will also include an interactive investment map that includes sectors and investment opportunities offered in all regions and governorates of the Kingdom, where the investor will be able to know basic information related to the opportunity he desires. invest in it.
It is noteworthy that the “Invest in Jordan” platform (Invest.jo) was carried out in cooperation with the (USAID) program for economic reform, which aims to support the Kingdom’s efforts in comprehensive and sustainable reform processes by working on developing and reforming policies and facilitating investments in addition to enhancing the competitiveness of the economic environment.
