The representative of the Parliamentary Reform Bloc, Engineer Adnan Mashuqa, asked the government a question about the problem of landlords and tenants.

Mashuqa asked, “about the plans and procedures that the government intends to follow to solve the problem of owners and tenants, which guarantee the rights of both parties in order to avoid problems and stagnation in real estate investment.”

In his question, the deputy said: Why does the government not oblige the tenant to submit a financial clearance before moving to another house to ensure that he pays his dues, such as the monthly rent and water and electricity bills?

He also asked a question: Why does the landlord bear the electricity and water consumption fees when the tenant is not obligated to pay them, and what is the solution for that?

He added, “Does the government intend to create an electronic application that governs the duties and rights of both parties?” Noting that “solving this problem does not contribute to encouraging real estate investment.”
