The value of shares purchased by non-Jordanian investors from the beginning of the year until the end of last June amounted to about 84.9 million dinars, accounting for 9.7 percent of the total trading volume, while the value of shares sold by them amounted to 109.1 million dinars, thus the value of net investment. Non-Jordanian net investment amounted to negative 24.2 million dinars, while the value of non-Jordanian net investment amounted to negative 70.9 million dinars for the same period last year.

With regard to Arab investors, the total value of their purchases during the month of June amounted to about 5.5 million dinars, or 91.1 percent of the total value of non-Jordanian purchases, while the total value of non-Arab purchases amounted to 0.5 million dinars, accounting for 8.9 percent of the total value of non-Jordanian purchases. As for the total value of sales of non-Arabs, it amounted to 7.1 million dinars, or 81.8 percent of the total value of sales of non-Jordanians, while the value of sales of non-Arabs amounted to 1.6 million dinars, or 18.2 percent of the total value of sales of non-Jordanians. Thus, the net investment value of Arabs is 1.6 million dinars in the negative, and the net investment value of non-Arabs is 1.1 million dinars in the negative during the month of June 2023.

According to statistics, the percentage of non-Jordanian investors’ participation in the companies listed on the stock exchange at the end of last June reached about 47.5 percent of the total market value, and 36.8 percent for investment legal institutions, including companies, institutions and funds.

The contribution of Arabs constituted 31.9 percent, and the contribution of non-Arabs 15.6 percent of the total market value of the stock exchange. As for the sectoral aspect, the percentage of non-Jordanian investors’ participation in the companies listed on the stock exchange reached 51.5 percent for the financial sector, 20.5 percent for the services sector, and 53.5 percent for the industrial sector. .
