Plastic is everywhere in the kitchen, from ubiquitous cutting boards to storage containers and utensils designed for use with non-stick cookware. At some point in its life, every plastic item will stain and discolor. To preserve all plastic items, there are several different ways to clean them. Here are some effective ways to clean plastic:

Vinegar solution:

A solution of vinegar mixed with water at a ratio of 1:1 can be used to remove tough stains on plastic. Vinegar is applied to the stain and left for a few minutes, then gently rubbed using a soft cloth.

Salt and lemon:

Salt and lemon juice can be mixed together and the mixture is applied to the stain to be removed. The mixture is left for a few minutes, then the plastic is gently rubbed using a soft cloth.

Sodium bicarbonate solution:

Sodium bicarbonate solution mixed with water can be used to remove tough stains on plastic. The solution is prepared and placed on the stain to be removed. It is left for a few minutes, then the plastic is gently rubbed using a soft cloth.
