The Kingdom’s imports of jewelry and crude oil decreased in the first third of this year

The first third of this year witnessed a decrease in the percentage of the Kingdom’s imports of ornaments and jewelry by 22 percent, and crude oil and its derivatives and mineral oils by 7.9 percent, in addition to other materials that witnessed a decrease by 1 percent.
The Kingdom’s imports increased in the first third of this year for vehicles, bicycles and their parts by 27.9 percent, chemical products by 22 percent, machines, machine tools and their parts by 6.3 percent, and electrical machinery and appliances by 5.7 percent.
According to the foreign trade data issued by the Department of Statistics, the value of the Kingdom’s imports until the end of last April of the current year amounted to: Crude oil and its derivatives are about 985 million dinars, vehicles and bicycles are about 435 million, and machinery and machine tools are about 363 million dinars.
The Kingdom’s imports in the first third of this year amounted to: Jewelry and jewellery, about 275 million dinars, machinery and electrical appliances about 270 million, chemical products about 243 million dinars, in addition to other materials about 3.241 billion dinars.
According to statistical data, the total value of the Kingdom’s imports in the first third of this year decreased by 0.3 percent, to reach 5.813 billion dinars, compared to 5.832 billion dinars for the same period last year.
