The rise in global oil prices

Today, Monday, the prices of oil derivatives in the global markets rose in the third week of June, compared to their prices in the second week of the same month.

According to the data of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, in the third week of May, 90-octane gasoline recorded a price of $752.5 per ton, compared to its average price in the second week, which amounted to $750.7, an increase of 0.2 percent.

And 95-octane gasoline recorded a price of $802.4 per ton, compared to $796.8 per ton recorded in May, an increase of 0.7 percent.

The price of diesel also increased from $639.6 per ton to $653.7, an increase of 2.2 percent. The price of kerosene also increased from $685.1 per ton to $706.5, an increase of 3.1 percent.

The price of fuel oil increased from $413.2 per ton to $424, an increase of 2.6 percent. The price of liquefied petroleum gas decreased in June to $442.5 per ton, compared to the price recorded last May, which amounted to $555 per ton, a decrease of 20.3 percent.

On the other hand, the average price of Brent crude increased in the third week of this month to reach $75.2 per barrel, compared to its average price in the second week, which amounted to $74.3, with an increase of 1.2 percent.
