Booking prices in Dead Sea, Petra and Aqaba hotels are affordable for everyone

On Sunday, the vice president of the Jordan Hotels Association, Hussein Hilalat, considered that reservation prices in hotels in the Dead Sea, Petra, Aqaba and Amman are “affordable to all” during the Eid al-Adha holiday, which begins next Tuesday.
Hilalat told the “Sunday Economic” programme, that the price of a one-night reservation in 5-star hotels in the Dead Sea is around 150 dinars, and the 4-star category is 78 dinars. Dinars, and 3-star 35 dinars, but in “Aqaba, prices are affordable for everyone compared to neighboring countries.”
In Amman, the price of booking one night in 5-star hotels is 132 dinars, 4-star hotels are 50 dinars, and 3-star hotels are 36 dinars, according to Hilalat, who said that the next holiday is 5 days and “the occupancy rates are better than the previous year.”
However, he said that “the occupancy rates so far have not been proven tomorrow (Monday), and it may become clear 100%,” noting that “the occupancy rate in Amman so far during the Eid al-Adha period is 62%, in the Dead Sea 65%, and Petra, its dependence on European tourism, is The least fortunate, 34%.
As for Aqaba, “there are no figures for it,” but Hilalat expects that the demand may exceed 80% for the city.
The head of the Association of Travel and Tourism Agents, Suhail Halaseh, said that bookings outside Jordan this year are 30-40% lower than last year, noting that the main reason for this is “high hotel prices in neighboring countries, high ticket prices and poor distribution.”
