The head of the Jordanian Free Zones Investors Authority, Muhammad Al-Bastanji, said that the new cabinet decision that requires merchants to provide a written guarantee on new vehicles is a positive step towards vehicle quality and consumer protection.

He stressed in a statement today, Sunday, that the authority welcomes the decision of the Council of Ministers, and encourages all merchants to respect it and implement it accurately, indicating that the authority supports decisions that enhance consumer confidence and protect their rights.

He added that many merchants in free zones contract with private maintenance centers, and provide guarantees on the vehicles they sell under those contracts, stressing that the Cabinet’s decision enhances the quality of vehicles available in the market and protects consumers, and thus is in the interest of all concerned parties, whether they are buyers. or vendors or executives.

Al-Bustanji stressed support for the decision and work with the concerned authorities to ensure its effective and fruitful implementation.
