For years, the world has called for the need to take care of the environment and reduce pollution by recycling anything that can be used again, and many brands that followed this approach have created and recycled fabrics and made clothes from plants, and Egypt has not been late for this step in preserving the environment From pollution, it held the United Nations Conference on Climate Change, or as it is known in the media as the “Climate Conference” in Sharm El-Sheikh, the “green city.” Likewise, Egyptian women did not fail to respond to the call of the environment and were keen to recycle old things years ago, such as Nada Omar, who recycled plastic bags, and turned them into elegant women’s bags.

Nada Omar, a graduate of Applied Arts, Department of “Fashion”, spoke about her tendency to convert plastic bags into women’s bags, to “The Seventh Day”, saying: “We were asked during our studies in 2021, to recycle anything old and at that time I thought about recycling the plastic bags that are used in Garbage collection, and I succeeded in designing a dress and a bag from it, and I recycled other things like gravel, bricks, wood, and a tree branch from which I designed a crown in the part of the Divine Comedy and decorated it, and I enjoyed the time very much.

And about the reactions of those who saw the women’s handbags and the dress made of plastic bags used in garbage collection, Nada said, “The work is amazing to many people, and the truth is that there were no difficulties that I encountered while designing the dress, bag, or anything I recycled.”

She added: “I love recycling any old need, because I feel that I am making it a different and new thing from nothing, but I could not continue in this field because I am not very specialized in it, but I follow the same trend in using precious stones and silver and turning them into pieces of accessories.”

Nada concluded her speech by expressing her dream that she is striving to achieve, saying: “I design silver accessories, and I rely on my designs to understand the customer’s personality and design a suitable accessory for him with only one unique piece, and I am the largest of my own brands.”
