The real story of Abdel Halim Hafez’s suit was that it was a gift from the late King Hassan II, which was specially designed for him. It was designed by the Italian designer “Smalto”. King Hassan II, because of his love for Abdel Halim, ordered it to be tailored.

While the late King Hassan published the details of gifting the suit, the king had sent to the most famous men’s fashion designer at the time called “Smalto” and asked him to design two suits, one for him and the other for the Nightingale. He does not design the suit again. After completing the design, the king gifted it to Abdel Halim Hafez.
