Tariq Abdel Rahman, General Manager of Jordan Gate Company – developer of the sixth towers, confirmed the progress of the project according to the prepared plans, and the company’s commitment to the timetable.
He said in a press statement, today, Wednesday, that the tender for the first package for the maintenance and closure of the project’s external facades was awarded at the beginning of the year, and it is expected to be completed by the end of this year.
Regarding the second package, Abdul Rahman said, “We are currently preparing tender documents for finishing and electromechanical works for the residential tower, and we will offer them for pricing at the end of this year.”
He also confirmed the completion of the engineering submissions for the approval of materials and executive plans, in addition to the completion of the work of sorting and rehabilitating the materials on site.
Regarding the works that have been completed, he stated that the company has completed the selected demolition works, cleaning works, removing debris from the external courtyards, roofs, and all floors of the project, closing the windows of the last floors, cleaning and maintaining the internal and external glass facades of the two towers, and aluminum profiles for the roofs of the towers and the podium building, with a total area. It amounted to 6 thousand square meters, and the start of its manufacture in preparation for installation, as these steps also include the implementation of stone works in separate places, and excavation and consolidation of the remaining works of the land boundary wall.
And he indicated that work is underway to implement the structural iron structure on top of the southern tower, which exceeds 170 tons, and will be covered with glass facades.
As for the North Tower, Abd al-Rahman confirmed that the iron paint works have been dealt with in preparation for repainting and carrying out the installation of glass facades.
