The Saudi Minister of Industry visits the Jordanian pavilion participating in the “Saudi Food” exhibition

Saudi Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources Bandar bin Ibrahim Al-Khorayef visited the Jordanian pavilion participating in the activities of the first session of the “Saudi Food 2023” exhibition, which opened yesterday evening, at the Riyadh International Convention and Exhibition Center, with the participation of 100 countries.
According to a statement today, Wednesday, by the Jordanian Exporters Association, which organizes the Jordanian participation, Minister Al-Khorayef valued the Kingdom’s participation in the exhibition, expressing his admiration for the advanced level that the Jordanian industry has reached.
The Jordanian ambassador to Riyadh, Ali Al-Kayed, inaugurated the Jordanian pavilion participating in the exhibition, which is located on an area of 225 square meters, and includes 18 local companies specialized in various fields of food industries.
Jordan’s participation in the three-day fair is supported by the Business Growth Project funded by the US Agency for International Development (USAID).
The general director of the association, Halim Abu Rahma, confirmed that the Jordanian pavilion, whose opening was attended by the economic advisor at the Jordanian embassy in Riyadh, Dr. Issa Al-Damour, is the third largest pavilion participating in the exhibition, which is being held for the first time, indicating that there is a great interest from its visitors in Jordanian products.
He pointed out that the Saudi market is one of the most important markets for Jordanian industrial exports, especially food, stressing the importance of the strong relations between the two brotherly countries at various levels.
And he indicated that the exhibition constitutes a real opportunity for Jordanian companies to build global partnerships that contribute to making the Kingdom a regional center for food security in the region, noting that the association will continue to organize the Jordanian participation in the exhibition in its upcoming sessions.
Abu Rahma praised the technical support provided by the Business Growth Project to Jordanian companies in order to develop their businesses and enhance their ability to provide more job opportunities for Jordanians.
The business growth project aims to support small, medium and emerging companies in Jordan, to improve their productivity, support their competitiveness, provide employment opportunities and promote innovation, which contributes to supporting economic growth in the Kingdom.
