The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriate Affairs condemned the Israeli escalation in the occupied Palestinian territories, the latest of which was the aggression against the city of Jenin this morning, warning of the continuation of the cycle of violence, for which everyone will pay the price.

The official spokesman for the ministry, Ambassador Sinan Majali, stressed the need to stop the continuous incursions into Palestinian cities, protect them from repeated attacks on them, and stop the escalation that constitutes a violation of international humanitarian law and Israel’s obligations as the occupying power.

The official spokesman for the ministry affirmed Jordan’s position rejecting these attacks and unilateral measures that undermine efforts to reduce escalation, and stressed the need for the international community to move immediately and effectively to stop this aggression, and to provide protection for the Palestinian people in all the occupied Palestinian territories.
