The arrest of the head of the zakat committee accused of appropriating about half a million dinars

The Public Prosecutor of Integrity and Anti-Corruption decided to detain the head of one of the zakat and alms committees in Amman for 15 days, pending investigation for the felony of forgery and abuse of credit.
Investigations revealed that during the years 2017-2021 this person illegally seized 416,000 dinars of alms and zakat funds.
