Today, Sunday, the Ministry of Labor confirmed that the Domestic Workers Directorate completes the transactions of citizens and the recruitment offices of domestic workers without delay.

The ministry’s media spokesman, Muhammad Al-Zyoud, said in a press statement today, Sunday, that the ministry completes the transactions it receives from the Office Owners Syndicate, first-hand without any delay, and this is proven by daily documents and statements allocated for this purpose, in coordination with the union’s representative located at the Domestic Workers’ Directorate. .

He confirmed that the Domestic Workers Directorate and other labor directorates completed more than 26,000 transactions related to the domestic workers sector, from the beginning of the year until the end of last May.

He added that the Ministry had sent letters to the Syndicate earlier and more than once asking it to provide it with any transactions whose completion was delayed, but the Ministry did not receive any information or documents in this regard.

He referred to a previous agreement with the union, regarding the emphasis on the offices of the need to complete all procedures and documents required for transactions and their requirements before reviewing the Directorate of Domestic Workers to complete them, in addition to another agreement to confirm the union employees to check the transactions before sending them to the ministry with the list agreed upon with the representative of the union, to reduce the number Transactions returned due to lack of required legal papers.

And he indicated that the Directorate of Domestic Workers and the competent directorates of the Ministry deal with 3 types of transactions, which are recruitment, the completion of which still requires paper documents that are submitted by the offices to their union for auditing, and then send them with a statement to the directorate, and in the event that there are deficiencies, they are returned to the union in order to preserve the rights of all dealers. As for transactions The rest is done electronically, and there is no need for paper documents, which are the renewal of work permits, and the transfer of domestic workers from one employer to another.

Al-Zyoud pointed out that the ministry allowed the main labor directorates in the governorates to play the same role as the Domestic Workers Directorate in completing recruitment transactions, renewing work permits, and transferring workers from one employer to another, indicating that the offices and the union restrict the submission of most of their transactions through the Domestic Workers Directorate in the capital.

He pointed out that the transactions for renewing permits for domestic workers and the transfer of workers from one employer to another are also carried out by the labor directorates in the capital and the governorates.
