Today, Thursday, the Greater Amman Municipality determined the locations of sheds for the sale and slaughter of sacrificial animals, covering the various areas of the municipality.

Starting next week, traders and livestock breeders will be able to apply for the necessary permits through the Municipality’s website.

And the Secretariat indicated that upon completion of preparing the infrastructure for the shed sites that have been identified for the sale and slaughter of sacrificial animals, the conditions, instructions and electronic lottery will be announced.

The Municipality has identified a site to serve the (Marca) area on Suleiman Al-Rousan Street, branching from Jaafar bin Abi Talib Street, at the entrance to the sponge factory, and for the (Al-Nasr) area on Al-Hizam Ring Street near Al-Salihiya Bridge.

And for the areas of (Badr / Nazzal, Zahran, Al-Muqabilin, Al-Abdali) on Prince Hussein Street, next to Tawfiq Al-Tabbaa roundabout, and for the areas of (Basman and Tariq) on Prince Faisal Street, at the intersection with Prince Nayef Street (Al-Kassarat area).

And for the areas of (Al-Qweismeh, Ras Al-Ain, Al-Yarmouk, Al-Madinah) in the Ten Bridges Street (Al-Sha’er Street), and for the area (Khraibet Al-Souq) in Al-Azraq Street (60) after the Qweismeh Brigade District, and for the areas (Wadi Al-Seer, Badr Al-Jadida, Marj Al-Hamam) in Al-Dhahir neighborhood Nalchik Al-Damina Street.

A location was determined for the two areas (Sweileh, Tla’a Al-Ali) on Rifa’a Al-Ansari Street, and for the areas (Shafa Badran, Al-Jubaiha, Abu Naseer) in Daif Allah Al-Hamoud Street, opposite the Shafa Badran Security Center, opposite the old cemetery.

To slaughter the sacrificial animals, the Municipality identified the Madouneh slaughterhouse in the Uhud area, and the Amman Municipality slaughterhouse in the Al-Mahatta area.

According to the Director of the Media Department, Naser Al-Rahamneh, the Municipality aims to locate sheds for the sale and slaughter of sacrificial animals, to prevent indiscriminate selling within the capital, to facilitate environmental and health control operations, and to reduce unpleasantness, with the possibility of continuous sterilization of these sites.

Al-Rahamneh stressed the necessity of adhering to the instructions and applying the health and legal conditions for sacrifices, not establishing barns in residential areas, preventing random distribution, and the barn owner’s commitment to providing public safety requirements, indicating that all barns will be subject to veterinary control by veterinarians.
