The total pledges made at the Seventh Brussels Conference on Supporting the Future of Syria and the Region amounted to 9.6 billion euros, of which 5.6 billion euros were in the form of grants.

The European Union and its member states account for 70 percent of the grants pledged, amounting to 3.8 billion euros.

In addition to grants, international financial institutions and donors announced loans (on concessional terms) of €4 billion, which means that a total of €9.6 billion in grants and loans were raised this year.

It is noteworthy that this year’s pledges exceed 800 million euros over last year’s pledges.
