The Land Transport Regulatory Authority announced that the disbursement of support for public transport operators, instead of fuel, for the month of May of the year 2023 will start from next Saturday morning.

The Director General of the Authority, Abdul Rahim Al-Wreikat, said in a statement today, Wednesday, that the disbursement of the dues of the second installment for the second quarter of this year, which includes the months of April, May and June, will be closed at the end of next August, after which the balances in the cards of the beneficiaries will be cancelled.
He pointed out the need not to delay benefiting from this decision by the beneficiary operators before the specified and announced period.
He added that the disbursement comes in accordance with the decision of the Council of Ministers, to extend the financial support provided by the government to public transport operators on passenger lines and taxis within the jurisdiction of the Land Transport Regulatory Authority, indicating that the government bore the allowance for the difference in raising wages for passengers and compensating them to public transport operators. .

The statement pointed out that all procedures related to fuel subsidy for those who are eligible for the month of May have been completed for this year, and the beneficiary operators can review the operating companies to receive the subsidy on the announced date. As the lists were delivered in full to all of the Authority’s partners, which are the fuel stations concerned to charge these cards.
