Saudi Arabia has informed Jordan of the decision to lift the suspension on Jordanian live sheep exports and open the platform for export, according to what Minister of Agriculture Khaled Al-Hanifat said on Wednesday.

Al-Hunaifat stressed that “Saudi Arabia, and based on the visit of the Saudi Minister of Agriculture, Water and Environment, which was followed by a direct visit to the Saudi technical delegation and inspected the ministry’s procedures, and accordingly the ministry was officially informed today of the decision to lift the suspension of Jordanian live sheep exports and open the platform for export.”

Al-Hunaifat praised “the response of the Saudi side and the direct cooperation, which has a positive impact on the local sheep sector,” stressing “the ministry’s readiness to assist sheep breeders in this regard.”
