Lessons and lessons from the rituals of Hajj

Dr. Radwan Sarayrah says, in an article published by the General Ifta Department under the title Lessons and Lessons from the Rituals of Hajj, Praise be to God who has made for us seasons of good deeds, in which sins and bad deeds are expiated, and among these seasons is a great pillar of the pillars of Islam, which is the pilgrimage to the Sacred House of God. The Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him and his family, said – in explaining the reward of the pilgrim -: (For when he leaves his house, he has: that his camel does not take a step but that a good deed will be written for him, or a deduction will be made for it. If he stops at ‘Arafah, then God, the Mighty and Majestic, descends to the lowest heaven, and He will say: Look at My servants, scattered with dust, bear witness that I have forgiven them for their sins, even if it is only a number. the sky and healing sand, and when he throws stones: no one knows what he owes him until he pays it on the Day of Resurrection, and if he shaves his head: he has everything a bump fell from His head is a light on the Day of Resurrection, and when he spent his end in the house: he came out of his sins as the day of his mother and his mother.

And he added by saying: There are many lessons and lessons in the rituals of Hajj. In the ihram dress: it contains a preparation for the soul by detachment from the world and its desires, and the turnout to God alone, and the emptiness of the heart from every beloved except God, and in it the declaration of preparation for the day of departure; We believe in the Almighty’s saying: (Those who think that they will meet their Lord and that to Him we shall return) Al-Baqarah / 46.

As for the Talbiyah from the meeqaat: in it is the sweetening of the limbs with the remembrance of God and invocations with Him, and with it the rites of Hajj begin and entering into it, and it is in the position of the opening takbeer in prayer, and in it is the declaration of monotheism to God Almighty and His exoneration from polytheism and praise to Him, Glory be to Him.

Al-Sarayrah continued, by saying: As for circumambulating the House, it is a prayer as the Sadiq, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him and his family, told, and in it is imitation of the angels circumambulating around the Throne of the Most Merciful. from the fire. The Almighty said: (And among them are those who say, “Our Lord, give us good in this world and good in the Hereafter, and protect us from the punishment of the Fire”) Al-Baqara / 201.

He pointed out that in the pursuit between Safa and Marwa, the pilgrim remembers our mother, Hajar, peace be upon her, as she seeks to ask for water for her son with supplication and supplication to God, in which there is patience in the request, and that God loves the servant to insist on him in supplication, for his saying, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him and his family: (For God does not get bored until you get tired) Narrated by Al-Bukhari.

Regarding staying overnight in Mina on the night of the ninth, Sarayrah says that it is following the example of the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him and his family, and preparing to stand at Arafah, and this is evidence of his love for him, peace be upon him, and we are commanded to obey him and follow him in any case. The Almighty says: (Say: If you love God, then follow me. God will love you and forgive you your sins. And God is Forgiving, Merciful) Al-Imran / 31.

And he added, “As for standing at Arafah, which is the greatest pilgrimage, and the greatest of the pillars of Hajj, the pilgrim recalls that he is in the places of judgment on the Day of Resurrection, for the gathering of people of all denominations. Great is his need for the mercy of God Almighty, and the intercession of the master of creation, peace and blessings be upon him, and for him to be one of the freedmen of this great and blessed day, and that the best supplication on this day is the words of the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him and his family: Before me: There is no god but God alone, He has no partner, His is the kingdom, and His is the praise, and He is powerful over all things) Narrated by Al-Tirmidhi and said: This hadith Hassan Gharib.

Regarding the overnight stay in Muzdalifah, he believes that there is a remembrance of the pilgrim after the great stand, did he forgive him and entered into God Almighty’s saying to his angels: (Bear witness that I have forgiven them for their sins) Narrated by Ibn Hibban.

Regarding the throwing of stones, Al-Sarayrah says: In it, he resembles the Prophet of God Ibrahim, peace be upon him, by declaring war on Satan when he was presented to him at the Jamarat site, wanting to dissuade him from carrying out God’s command to slaughter his son Ismail, peace be upon him. Exalted be He: (Indeed, Satan is an enemy to you, so make him an enemy) (Fatir/6) and say, “My Lord, I seek refuge in You from the insinuations of the Devils. Wen) The Believers / 97-98.

With regard to slaughtering the hadiy, he says: There is hope in God that with every part of it he will free a part of us from the Fire, and that he will give us a good deed for every hair.

As for shaving or shortening, it confirms that it takes the place of salutation from prayer, and the pilgrim dissolves everything that is forbidden to him to do because of the state of ihram, and it is an announcement of the end of the rituals of this great worship that God imposed on us in response to the supplication of the father of the prophets, Ibrahim, upon him and our Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him.

Al-Sarayrah concluded his article by emphasizing that it is not obligatory to search for causes of worship, and the Muslim does not base his act of worship on realizing the cause, but rather he responds to God’s command by doing it. He wills, the Almighty said: (He is not asked about what he does, and they are asked) The Prophets / 23, and this is the purpose of our creation for the Almighty’s saying: (And I did not create the jinn and mankind except that they should worship Me) Al-Dhariyat / 56. And Praise be to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds.
