“Violations of paying bonuses to employees and violations of using government vehicles”

Today, Monday, the team assigned to review the clarifications of the Audit Bureau, headed by Minister of State for Prime Minister Affairs Dr. Ibrahim Al-Jazi, held a meeting at the Presidency House. To discuss the clarifications that were monitored during the past three months.

During the meeting, which was attended by the Secretary-General of the Prime Ministry, Abd al-Latif al-Najdawi, the acting head of the Audit Bureau and the Secretary-General of the Audit Bureau, Ibrahim al-Majali, the clarifications that were monitored during March, April and May of the current year were studied, and the necessary measures were taken to correct them.

Al-Jazi confirmed that the number of clarifications monitored by the Bureau and discussed by the team during its meeting today amounted to (128) clarifications, of which (41) were monitored during March, (42) during April, and (45) during May.

He noted that some clarifications may require addressing the competent authority to refer them to the Integrity and Anti-Corruption Commission, indicating that the majority of other clarifications required taking administrative and oversight measures. Ministries, institutions and relevant authorities were addressed to correct them completely.

Al-Jazi indicated that the clarifications included the presence of technical and administrative violations in the referral and receipt of government bids related to the establishment or purchase of supplies, in addition to the existence of discrepancies or mismatches in the specifications and quantities contained in these bids.

He explained that the clarifications included administrative violations, including the promotion of employees other than the regulations and instructions, the creation of departments and administrative units without the need and in violation, in addition to disregarding the application of legislation against employees who are not committed to the official working hours instructions.

He noted that the clarifications also included the disbursement of bonuses and allowances to employees unlawfully, the existence of abuses in the use of government vehicles and the disbursement of fuel allowances, and the disregard for collecting fees and returns due in favor of the treasury, and other violations that were taken to correct them.
