The Hydrocarbons Syndicate called for stopping the electronic connection of the stations, due to the large number of system malfunctions and linking it to the issuance of occupational licenses to the stations, which require inspection by the Civil Defense.

The union said that the system was approved before the advent of cellular phones, which are now available to workers at gas stations, noting that the experience of installing the system does not benefit the stations, but rather has become a burden on them.

She suggested replacing the mandate of the union’s electronic linking with the union’s contract with a company similar to the companies that connect with factories, and it undertakes procedures, maintenance and perpetuation, and the abolition of this system.
The syndicate confirmed that most of the stations are unable to license and renew professional licenses, which confused them in terms of transactions and procedures of banks and other government departments.

She referred to the burden placed on station owners as a result of the Civil Defense’s insistence on making a bank guarantee of 500 dinars for the purposes of delay, and a bank guarantee of 500 dinars for operating purposes.
