Parliamentary sources suggested, on Monday, that an extraordinary session be held, following the blessed Eid Al-Adha holiday.

The sources told Al-Bawsala that the special session will be held after Eid al-Adha, but the agenda for this session is still unclear.

The sources stated that the special session will discuss economic laws and others related to the investment environment.

Constitutionally, the next regular session will be the last session of the nineteenth House of Representatives, where, according to the constitutional amendments, a new speaker for the House of Representatives will be chosen, and the members of the executive and permanent office will be selected.

It is noteworthy that Representative Saleh Al-Armouti had stated earlier to “Al-Bawsala” that the draft law proposal was referred to the Legal Committee and is still in its arsenal, and has not been discussed and presented under the dome in preparation for referring it to the government and returning it in the form of a draft law.

He added, “If the draft is sent to the government, it is, according to the constitution, obligated to submit a draft general amnesty law, in the same session or the next session,” but its issuance requires a long time, in order for it to pass through its constitutional stages.
