The Ministry of Digital Economy, Jordanian Entrepreneurship and Iris Guard Company signed a strategic partnership agreement aimed at using the iris scan in government services and private sector services.

According to the Ministry, the partnership agreement is a quantum leap in the services provided to citizens and residents, in a way that enhances the digital transformation process, as Jordan is the first country to implement innovative iris-printing technologies in government services.

The package of services provided by Iris Guard, under this partnership, includes the activation of the digital identity issued by the Ministry to citizens (Sanad) through the eye print in all Jordanian post offices and the Kingdom’s embassies abroad, easily and conveniently. The agreement also includes the provision of “notary public” services related to land and real estate ownership. And vehicles by eye print.

It is expected that the implementation of this agreement will begin in stages during the coming weeks, and the expansion of these services in the future to include the iris scan service in additional government areas such as; The electronic portal service for travelers, and health services using iris scans, in addition to a package of other services provided to the private sector and residents of the Kingdom.

The signing of the agreement between the two sides was attended by; Ahmed Hanandeh, Minister of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship, and Imad Malhas, CEO of Iris Guard.

Hanandeh expressed his happiness with the strategic partnership between the Jordanian government and Iris Guard, which would enhance the digital transformation process in Jordan and the government’s capabilities in providing its services more efficiently, accurately and quickly.

Hanandeh said: “This agreement is an important step in the development of government services in Jordan, the advancement of the digital sector, and the promotion of modern technology as an engine for economic development, reflecting the comprehensive vision of King Abdullah II aimed at administrative and economic modernization. This partnership with Iris Guard also provides a quantum leap in the field of benefit One of the advanced iris fingerprint technologies for both citizens and residents.”

The CEO of Iris Guard, Imad Malhas, expressed his pride in this cooperation and strategic partnership with the Ministry of Digital Economy and Leadership in Jordan to provide advanced eye-print technology for government services and the private sector.
