The family is the basic building block of society, and God Almighty legislated marriage to build the family and in its framework many jobs are achieved for its members. In this context, Dr. Hala Mansour, Professor of Sociology at Benha University, spoke to us about the basics of resolving any possible dispute that the family may face.
The professor of sociology said that the family is a small society, the beginning of which is marriage, which was built on affection and mercy and on the basis of which the spouses are willing to give their lives to each other in order to live happily, and interdependence is an essential thing for the family where interaction and a sense of the other, and this is through continuous communication between its members. It gives the social security that any family seeks.
Dr. Hala Mansour
And the professor of sociology continued: All family members must have one code, so that none of them offends the other, because a healthy family is one in which mutual understanding prevails among all its members.
And the professor of sociology continued: It is assumed that any dispute between family members is resolved between its parties within the framework of the family, and at first each party listens to himself, reviews the events, identifies the causes of the dispute and arranges his ideas, then talks with the other party and the dispute is settled, and if he cannot settle, he intervenes. A ruling from his family and a ruling from her people, and if the dispute became intense and difficult to settle, the matter ends with kindness and the utmost simplicity, without offending any party to the other, but the most important element is open dialogue, good intentions, and the presence of a firm desire on the part of each party within the family. Dialogue is the basis for resolving any dispute, whatever its degree.
As for the personal status law, the professor of sociology said: The law regulates some social problems, but there is no social life based on the law, as it is complementary and not essential, but what is essential is awareness and social, religious and educational culture, so that the legal environment is qualified until it is not The law is exploited within the framework of its loopholes and the exploitation of one party by the other, and thus the law is complementary to awareness, culture, customs and traditions because it represents the legal environment in which the law is applied.
