Al-Bawsala – The Ministry of Industry, Trade and Supply said that what is being circulated about the rise in flour prices is completely false, and that bread prices are fixed and cannot be changed.
The ministry added that the mechanism for pricing flour has been fixed for many years and has not changed, and that talking about its rise is not related to the truth.
The Ministry affirmed that, within its participatory approach, it is in constant contact with the industrial sector and all partners, and discussions are held on any of the relevant issues.
The ministry stressed the need not to release or circulate such false statements and the need to obtain information from its sources in the interest of the public interest.
