The former minister, Bassam Al-Amoush, saw that the global interest in the Turkish elections is due to the importance of these elections and their repercussions on the region and the world as a whole, due to the major changes that will be imposed on them.

And between Al-Amoush, in a statement to “compass“The global interest in these elections is evidence of the credibility of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. These elections are not the 99% play that the Arab peoples are accustomed to. Rather, it is a transfer of power and the people decide.

He added that they are “elections for programs, not a quota for a woman, a tribe, or in-laws. They are not distributed seats, nor a result known in advance,” noting that “the Islamic trend is entrusted with democracy and accepts its results, unlike the secularists.”

Al-Amoush pointed out that the Islamists, unlike those associated with the colonial powers, whose coups we saw in several places, including Algeria, where blood was shed profusely because of their rejection of the results of the funds.

And the former minister continued, saying, “Erdogan does not speak in the language of will, but rather his actions speak of him, as he moved Turkey economically from a country that has debts – and the secularists destroyed its economy with their corruption – to a country that has debts to the world despite the relentless war that everyone was exposed to.”

Al-Amoush explained that “the West’s anger towards Erdogan was because they wanted him as a sin, and that is why they tried to support a coup against him, but they failed. They want paid slaves who are commanded and do not want equals.”

He added, “We saw Erdogan dealing with Russia in balance, even though he is in NATO, and the West is angry with him, but they do not dispense with Turkey, and his positions were distinguished from Russia in the Syrian issue, and he was distinguished from the West in the Ukrainian issue, thus he became a preserver of the stability of the Turkish decision.”

He emphasized that Erdogan’s economic, educational, construction, reconstruction, and freedom achievements are seen by every fair person, while the Kemalist secularists want to take them back to the point of domination, oppression, intolerance, humiliation, and the shameful position of the displaced, Arabs, and Muslims.

The competition intensified greatly between President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and opposition leader Kilicdaroglu, and as of Monday morning, these elections are heading to a run-off, while observers of Turkish affairs believe that they will be in favor of President Erdogan.

It is noteworthy that Erdogan was able, over the past years, to advance Turkey and transfer it to the ranks of active, decision-making and sovereign countries in the region and the world at large, which explains the interest of Western countries in these elections.

Erdogan faced fierce media campaigns launched by Western media, and the truth of these campaigns has been revealed since the failed coup attempt in 2016, as the Western media machine claimed that Erdogan abused opponents associated with the coup attempt.
