The Board of Commissioners of the Independent Election Commission announced during a meeting held today, Sunday, chaired by Eng. Musa Al-Maaytah, the end of the period set by the Parties Law for the purposes of reconciling the situation, indicating that 26 parties have completed the terms and conditions of the law in force, and one party has completed holding its constituent conference.
The official spokesman for the Commission, Muhammad Khair Al-Rawashdeh, said in a statement today, Sunday, that the parties that have completed the requirements for reconciling the situation are: Jordanian Equality, the Jordanian Democratic People (Hashd), the Jordanian Example, the New Approach, the National Coalition, the Islamic Action Front, the Blessed Land, and the National Pact. , Shura, Social Democrat, Democratic Unionists, National Union, Tomorrow, Future and Life, Justice and Reform, Democratic Popular Unity, National Integration, National Constitutional, Workers, Communism, Arab Socialist Resurrection, Reform and Renewal (Hassad), The National Current, The Torch, Ansar , the nationalist movement, and the will of which was established as a new party.
Al-Rawashdeh indicated that 19 parties did not complete the regularization of their statuses, whether because they lost one or more of the conditions of the law, or because they did not submit requests to regularize their statuses. , Freedom and Equality, The Trustworthy Country, the National Renaissance Front, the Democratic Moderate Movement, the National Movement, the Islah Party, Jordan’s Free People, Nature, National Unity, the Progressive Arab Baath Party, the Call, and the Islah Movement.
He pointed out that the parties that bear the adjective (under formation) are; The sky of democratic Jordan, vision, development, civil democracy, and progress.
Al-Rawashdeh indicated that the percentage of females who joined political parties was 40.3 percent, and the percentage of males was 59.68 percent. The number of female youth under the age of 35 recorded a rate of 15.8 percent, and the number of party members between the ages of 18 and 22 recorded a rate of 9.6 percent.
With regard to the parties that were unable to reconcile their statuses with the end of the legal period, Al-Rawashdeh confirmed that the party registry will address those parties that did not submit requests for regularization of statuses or that did not complete one or more of the conditions for regularization in the applicable law, as they are considered dissolved according to paragraph (b / 40 of the Parties Law No. (7) for the year 2022, which stipulates that “parties established before the provisions of this law come into force must reconcile their positions in accordance with the provisions of paragraph (a) of Article (11) thereof within one year from the date of its entry into force, by holding a general conference that meets the conditions Constituent Conference contained therein, otherwise the party will be dissolved in accordance with the provisions of this law.
