The National Society for Human Rights denounced the German authorities forcibly removing a Muslim immigrant child from his family in the city of Bremerhaven, due to a complaint from his school, claiming that his family teaches him discrimination against homosexuality, which Islam prohibits.

In a memorandum sent by the Society to the German Embassy in Amman, it condemned this act as contrary to the most basic human rights and international covenants such as the Convention on the Rights of the Child issued by the United Nations (Article 5 and Article 9 thereof) and also contradicts what was stated in the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights (Article 17 and Article 18). And Article 27), which affirms, in its entirety, respect for the religion, culture, and belief of the individual of his choice, and criminalizes interference with the individual’s privacy, family, and home affairs.

Where the National Society for Human Rights considered the act of the German authorities a double crime by forcibly removing a child from his family and his family, and then the German authorities imposing a culture of accepting homosexuality on the child and his family by coercion, in flagrant violation of the values ​​of religious and cultural pluralism.

The National Society for Human Rights demanded the return of the child to his family and the cessation of such acts, which are considered discrimination between individuals on the basis of religion.
