Closings and diversions at the Dead Sea Friday

The Jordan Marathon Association announced that, in coordination with the Greater Amman Municipality and the Central Traffic Department, it has closed a number of streets leading to the tracks of the “Aquafina Dead Sea Ultramarathon 2023”, which will be held next Friday with the wide participation of local and international runners.

The marathon includes 3 main races; It is an individual (50 km) ultramarathon, a (50 km) relay race, and a (21 km) race, which will start at six in the morning opposite the Amman Tourist Beach, in addition to the (10 km) race, which will start after 2 km from Triangle Al Magtas at 9 am. .

The association added that modifications have been made to the race tracks to be as follows:

Ultramarathon 50 km individual race and relay: starting time at 6:00 am, starting opposite the tourist beach of Amman in the Dead Sea, running up the service street (in the opposite direction of traffic) towards the hotels area, down to the street leading to the Skydive area, and turning left to enter Go to the Sky Dive area and turn around from the roundabout inside the area and enter the airstrip and then return to the services street and continue running towards Al-Rama signals to reach the turning point for the 50 km race before reaching Al-Rama signals and return again to complete the run down to the services street and enter the Nadi area The Royal Jordanian Air Sports (Sky Dive) and the airstrip again, and then run on the same track down towards the Amman tourist beach to the (finish line).

Half Marathon 21 km: Starting time at 6:00 am, starting opposite the tourist beach of Amman in the Dead Sea, running up Service Street (in the opposite direction of traffic) to the street leading to the Skydive area, then turning around and returning to Service Street once Another towards Amman Tourist Beach (finish line).

10 km race: Starting time at 9:00 am, starting after 2 km from the Baptism Triangle and running down to the hotel area (towards traffic) to reach Amman Tourist Beach (finish line).

The Dead Sea Aquafina Ultramarathon is considered one of the sporting events that take place in Jordan and puts Jordan on the map of the world sports and tourism. 1 p.m. of the same day as follows:

Closing the road from Al-Rama signals towards Triangle Al-Maghtas in one direction.

Closing the road from Al-Maghtas Triangle towards hotels and up to Amman Tourist Beach in one direction.

The main road leading to the bath is completely closed.

Alternative methods:
To the King Hussein Bridge, South Shuna Road, from the Al-Rama Triangle, take a right towards the Southern Shuna, and from the southern Shuna signals to the bridge.
To the King Hussein Bridge, a second road from the sea level point to the Al-Kafreen Dam, and then the southern Shuna to the bridge.
To the bath from the Ramah Triangle towards Al-Shuna, then to the street leading to the King Hussein Bridge, and before the bridge turn to the right towards the farms, and then to the bath from the back road. It is also possible to take the sea level road to the Kafrin Dam, and then through the farms road to the bath.
Hotels Street Walk with caution in the opposite direction from the Ramah Triangle until Amman Tourist Beach so that the walk is in two directions.
Al-Rama Triangle From the south, you can take the street from the checkpoint on the right towards Buhaira Resort, and then Al-Rama Triangle.
From the south road towards Amman via the Dead Sea Panorama Madaba and then to Amman.
