A new investment of 15 million dinars to produce veterinary vaccines in Al-Hassan Industrial City

Today, Tuesday, the Industrial Estates Company announced a new investment in the field of producing medicines, biotechnologies, and veterinary vaccines, for a company operating in Al-Hassan Industrial City.
Omar Juwayed, Director General of the Industrial Estates, said that the new investment amounted to 15 million dollars, and when it was put into operation during the next two years, it would provide 100 job opportunities.
He added that this investment confirms the efficiency of the investment environment in Al-Hassan Industrial City and the rest of the industrial cities, and the confidence of investors in it, whether existing or new.
Jwaed praised the investing company’s efforts, especially as it is one of the largest companies investing in Al-Hassan Industrial City, and its exports and the job opportunities it provided for Jordanian youth over the past years have fueled the economic movement in the city.
And he indicated that Madinat Al-Hassan formed a platform for Jordanian companies operating in the field of pesticides, veterinary medicines and agricultural fertilizers to enter the local, Arab and international markets through the quality of their products and their conformity with international standards.
He pointed out that the city includes several companies operating in these fields that have achieved outstanding results and attracted Jordanian competencies in medical, veterinary, agricultural and chemical engineering specialties, in addition to providing training and qualification opportunities in the laboratories of these factories and companies for university students near Al-Hassan City, especially the University of Science and Technology.
For his part, the General Manager of the Arab Company for the Manufacturing of Pesticides and Veterinary Medicines “MBEDCO”, Eng. Muhammad Owais, said that the company plans to expand its investments in the field of veterinary medicines, expecting that the products of the new Zaid factory will reach more than 50 markets in the world, while it will provide in its first phase About 100 job opportunities.
Owais indicated that the factory will work in the field of producing medicines, biotechnologies and veterinary vaccines, making Mbedco one of the leading companies in the manufacture of veterinary vaccines in the Middle East.
He pointed out that the company will obtain the privilege of developing bio-manufacturing technology in the Kingdom, which showed the Corona pandemic the Kingdom’s urgent need for this technology.
Owais praised the investment environment in Jordan, especially in the city of Hassan, whose exemptions and incentives enabled Mbedco to go global and enter new export markets.
It is noteworthy that the number of companies in Al-Hassan Industrial City reached 136 companies by the end of last year, with an investment volume of 430 million dinars, which provided more than 36,000 job opportunities.
