The Ministry of Health’s strategy revealed a program to modernize medical devices in MOH hospitals, including central sterilization, dialysis, and panorama departments, over a period of 3 years 2023-2025.

The department responsible for the program will be the Directorate of Medical Engineering, while the Government Procurement Department and the Directorate of Buildings and Maintenance will be partner entities.

The program measurement indicator will depend on the percentage of completion. As for the expected value of the indicator, it is divided into; 35% in 2023, 70% in 2024, and 100% in 2025.

The cost of the Ministry of Health’s strategy for the years (2023-2025) is estimated at 1.7 billion dinars, 66% of which will be funded within the ministry’s budgets, according to Minister of Health Firas al-Hawari.

The new strategy consists of 8 main axes that are in line with the executive program of the economic modernization vision, which aims to improve the level of services provided to citizens and justice in their distribution.
