The General Ifta Department confirmed that marriage after Eid al-Fitr is permissible and desirable in Shawwal, and as for the dislike of a marriage contract or consummation between the two feasts, it has no basis in Sharia, and it is one of the beliefs of ignorance.

And the Fatwa Department said that some scholars recommended marriage in Shawwal, which is between the two Eids, when it was proven in the hadith on the authority of Aisha, may God be pleased with her, that she said: “The Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, married me in Shawwal, and consummated the marriage with me in Shawwal, so which women of Rass By God, may God bless him and grant him peace He had it from me?

And I quoted Al-Nawawi, may God have mercy on him, as saying: “In it is the desirability of marriage, marriage, and consummation in Shawwal. It is false and has no basis, and it is one of the traces of ignorance. They used to evade that because of the name Shawwal of derogation and exaltation.
