The Minister of Transport, Maher Abu Al-Samen, instructed the transfer of two planes (N300 aw tri star, and JY-HS1) to safe areas at Queen Alia International Airport, due to the danger it poses to the security and safety of aviation and runways, and its transformation into an environmental hazard.

Abu Al-Saman said in a statement today, Monday, that the ministry, with continuous and vigorous follow-up to the issue of aircraft parked at Queen Alia International Airport and all local airports, and given the threat their presence poses to the security and safety of operations, transferred two aircraft parked at the airport away from the landing and take-off berths.

He pointed out that this step is a prelude to the dismantling and disposal of aircraft and sending their wreckage to areas outside the airport campus, after ending outstanding issues with their owners or their representatives, in agreement with Joramco.

He stressed that the ministry will transfer all the aircraft parked at the airport successively, in order to ensure the continuity of security and safety of air operations.
