Today, Monday, a memorandum of understanding between the Jordanian and Iraqi governments was published in the Official Gazette, which stipulates cooperation in the field of tourism.

The memorandum comes in appreciation of the two governments for the common fraternal interests and their desire to strengthen the bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries, and an affirmation of the importance of strengthening cooperation between them in the field of tourism.

The two parties agreed to activate the tourism movement and tourism exchange. To promote the history and culture of the two countries, and encourage the work of companies and travel and tourism agencies in the two countries to organize tourist trips, to attract tourist groups in the two countries, and to provide facilities in entry procedures in accordance with the legislation and laws in force in the two countries.

The memorandum stipulates facilitating the exchange of participation in exhibitions, conferences, festivals and tourism markets that are held in the two countries, and the exchange of information in bulletins, publications, films, promotional materials and tourism statistics between the two parties.
