“Jerash Antiquities” completes the rehabilitation work of the overlook at the archaeological site

The Directorate of Antiquities of Jerash completed the work of preparing the overlook; The site supervising the archaeological and urban city, and its length is 60 meters, with the addition of an iron fence and guiding panels, according to the director of Jerash Antiquities, Muhammad al-Shalabi.

Al-Shalabi said, on Monday, that the visitor to the archaeological site can stand on the overlook and see the entire archaeological and urban city, which will constitute a tourist attraction for foreign and local visitors.

He added that the Directorate has begun work to maintain mosaic panels and floors and remove weeds inside the archaeological site, which contributes to providing about 200 temporary jobs.

The Directorate completed the preparation of studies for the rehabilitation and maintenance of the museum and began preparing studies for the installation of protective (protective) canopies for the churches located inside the archaeological site.

Al-Shalabi indicated that the Directorate has completed the tender for solar energy installation studies for the regional institute.
