Representative Omar Al-Ayasra saw, on Saturday, that the Jordanian state is interested and working quietly and insisting on the return of Representative Imad Al-Adwan, who was arrested by the Israeli authorities, on the background of an alleged smuggling case of quantities of weapons and gold.

Al-Ayasra told the “Akhbar al-Awsoo’” program that the House of Representatives has not issued a statement yet, and it will not. Because he wants to provide a comfortable atmosphere for the political and security level.

He considered that the arrest of the deputy at this time is harmful to Jordan and the course of the “political grievance” that Jordan recently provided to Israel, as he described it.

Al-Ayasra believes that the state with all its pillars, including the Jordanian government, is concerned, attentive, and interested at a high level in the case of Representative Imad Al-Adwan. Because “part of the Jordanian authority is suspended from the Israeli authorities … it is part of the authority and a representative of the legislative authority.”

He also believes that the state did not respond to critical voices, and the political-security level is in conflict with the Israeli authorities, and deals wisely. Which will pay off in the end.

The Israeli judiciary did not file any official indictments against MP Imad Al-Adwan, but the publication ban imposed on the arrest of the deputy was lifted.

“political ambush”

Al-Ayasra believed that the Israeli authorities had ensnared the deputy, Al-Adwan, in a “political ambush” and were trying to benefit from this politically through negotiation with Jordan, after Jordan had recently turned its back on the Israelis in some sensitive files, as he described it.

Israel is trying to benefit from the arrest of Representative Imad, regardless of the charges, their nature, validity, allegations and details, according to Al-Ayasra.

He said that the arrest of the deputy at this time is more harmful to Jordan, and is detrimental to the course of the “political grimace” that Jordan presented to Israel in the recent period.

The state will not accept, and will not be satisfied with, the representative remaining with the Israelis, and it must bring him to Jordan under a sovereign title, according to Al-Ayasra.

‘Bad and sensitive’ timing

Al-Ayasra said that the return of aggression is a settled matter as a Jordanian demand, and Jordan is largely determined to restore it.

He said, “The state is now unable to provide a narrative; Because the narrative may affect the negotiation of the MP’s release from the Israeli prison.”

He called on public opinion to wait and avoid skepticism, in light of his belief that the Jordanian state is concerned, interested and attentive.

He talked about the cards in Jordan’s possession in light of Jordan’s importance in the region, and considered that the Jordanian-Israeli relationship is more important to the Israelis, adding: “There are many courses in which we can put pressure on Israel.”

Al-Ayasra described the current Israeli government as “extreme right-wing” that came to harass the Hashemite custodianship of the sanctities of Jerusalem, just as it harassed Jerusalemites in an unprecedented way during Ramadan.
