The head of the Bab Amman Municipal Elections Committee, Uqla Al-Qadri, said that the number of voters who are entitled to participate in choosing their representatives on Saturday reached 9,205.

Al-Qadri talked about preparing all logistical matters and human cadres, and he will follow up on the conduct of the elections, which will start at seven in the morning on Saturday.
Four candidates are competing for the position of mayor, after the death of the mayor of Bab Amman in a traffic accident while on his way to attend a workshop in Salt at the beginning of this year.
According to the local administration law; Article 50 of the law stipulates that “if the position of the mayor becomes vacant for any reason, the vice-president performs his duties for a maximum period of 4 months, during which a new president is elected for the remaining term of the previous president, unless that period does not exceed a year; Then the vice-president continues to perform the duties of the mayor until the end of the prescribed term, and in this case a vice-president is elected for the remaining term.
