The Air Force evacuated 576 people from Sudan

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates announced, on Thursday, that the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan has sent 7 Royal Jordanian Air Force planes to Port Sudan International Airport, carrying 576 people on board, in implementation of the royal directives to evacuate Jordanian citizens and assist nationals of sister countries in evacuating their nationals from the Republic of Sudan.

evacuation aircraft transported; 423 Jordanians, and 153 nationals of 26 countries, including (Egypt, Palestine, Syria, Iraq, Lebanon, Yemen, Tunisia, the United States, Britain, Japan, Canada, Germany, the Netherlands, Norway, Italy, Ireland, Portugal, Sweden, Finland, Switzerland, Russia, Mexico, Kazakhstan, Pakistan, Ethiopia, Eritrea), and staff of international organizations.

Also, 10 German flights, 7 Dutch flights, and 3 Norwegian flights departed from the Kingdom to Sudan, evacuating its nationals and 30 other Jordanian citizens.

The spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriate Affairs, Ambassador Sinan Majali, confirmed to The Kingdom that all Jordanians in Sudan who applied for their return to Jordan or contacted the embassy have been evacuated.
