The Minister of Awqaf, Islamic Affairs and Holy Sites, Dr. Muhammad Al-Khalayleh, set the waiting period between the dawn call to prayer and the iqama to 30 minutes.

In the circular he issued today, Tuesday, Al-Khalayleh called for the directors of endowments directorates in the Kingdom, the need for imams and muezzins to adhere to a 30-minute period between raising the dawn call to prayer and the iqama, as of its date.

Al-Khalila had circulated, before the beginning of the blessed month of Ramadan for this year, that the waiting period between the dawn call to prayer and the iqama should be 20 minutes.
