The Saudi Food and Drug Administration (SFDA) launched, on Wednesday, new electronic services to inquire about the prices and types of medical supplies registered and priced by the institution, which are cardiac stents and their accessories, articular syringes (oily needles) and moisturizing eye drops.

The Director General of the Corporation, Nizar Muhaidat, indicated in a press statement that the services that were completed by the Corporation by the Information Technology Unit and the Directorate of Medical Devices and Supplies provide the recipient of the service with accurate and updated information about the prices and items of medical supplies registered and priced by the Corporation by simply searching for them using the name of the supplies, the name of the warehouse, or The manufacturing company, which simplifies and speeds up the process of knowing the types available in the local market and the price of each item and the comparison between them and thus choosing the appropriate ones according to the patient’s health condition, indicating that the services are available on the institution’s website at the electronic link.

Muhaidat emphasized that the Corporation is continuing its trend towards automating new services within its electronic transformation plan, in a way that translates the royal directives into the necessity of continuous improvement in the efficiency and quality of government services provided to the citizen.
